The essentials

01

Taking part

  • The League runs online, so you can join from any country. Participants under 18 need parental consent.
  • Register in the Telegram or VK bot: accept the Rules, give your consents and fill in the form.
  • The first Game is free for every new participant. The entry fee for later Games is published before they start.

02

Brief and work

  • Each round has a new brief. It says where the work is done, on a model's face or on a practice board, plus other requirements.

03

How to submit

  • Send a photo of your work to the bot.
  • Post the work on your VK or Instagram* page and send the post link to the bot.
  • A work counts as submitted only when both the photo and the link arrive before the deadline. Late works are not accepted.

04

Fair play

  • The work must be your own and follow the round brief.
  • AI-generated images and editing that changes the work itself are not allowed.
  • Keep photos or video of your process: the organizer may ask for the originals.
Originality of works
05

Judging and rounds

  • Judges score works anonymously, without the artists' names. The method depends on the round: head-to-head or by criteria.
  • After each round you see how your rating changed and whether you go through to the next round.
  • The best works of the round get the TOP WORK mark.
  • If you don't go through to the next round, you can keep painting out of competition.
clause 7.3
06

Rating and leagues

  • The FPL Rating shows an artist's level. It changes after each round and takes the strength of opponents into account.
  • Your rating sets your league (Bronze, Silver or Gold) and whose works yours is compared with.
  • The league is assigned before a Game and doesn't change until it ends. League thresholds are announced before the season and don't change during it.
clauses 7.1, 7.2
07

Awards and points

  • Winners and medalists in each league get prizes and medals. Everyone who finishes the Game gets a discount on MAGFACE materials.
  • FPL Points are your history in the League. You get them for your best result in a Game, plus one point for each TOP WORK. Points never expire.
clauses 7.5–7.7
08

Certificate

  • You get a certificate if all works of the Game are submitted on time. That is also when the Game counts toward the season.
  • Miss the deadline for even one work and there's no certificate for that Game, and it doesn't count toward the Super Final.
  • Eliminated by the judges but submitted everything on time? The certificate is yours.
clause 7.8 · check a certificate
09

Super Final

  • From a single Game: 1st–3rd place in Gold or 1st place in Silver.
  • Or from the season: 2 of 3 Games in Gold, or all 3 Games in Silver or Gold.
  • The Organizer sets the prize fund. The announced amount won't be reduced, and how it is split is published before the Super Final.
clause 9.1
10

Publishing works

  • The League publishes participants' works on the website and its social media, crediting the artist.
  • The terms are in the Consent to Publication, which you accept at registration.

Frequently asked questions

Can beginners join?

Yes. After round one you compete in your own league, with artists at a similar level.

Can I join from another country?

Yes. The League is online, so you can join from any country.

How much does it cost?

The first Game is free for every new participant. The entry fee for later Games is published before they start.

Do I have to play every Game of the season?

No. You can join the season at any Game. But to reach the Super Final through the season standings, you need to play several Games.

Where does the League take place?

Online. Briefs and submissions go through the Telegram or VK bot.

What if I miss the deadline?

Late works are not accepted, the Game doesn't count toward the season and no certificate is issued. You can keep painting out of competition.

Paint on a face or on a practice board?

Each round's brief says so: it varies.

Do I need a model?

Not always. It depends on the brief; child models are allowed.

Why post the work on my own page?

It's a submission requirement: a work counts as submitted when the bot has both the photo and a link to the VK or Instagram* post. This way more people see participants' works.

How is the ban on AI and heavy editing enforced?

AI and distorting edits are banned. If needed, we may ask for photos or video of the work in progress.

Who sees my name during judging?

None of the judges: works are scored anonymously. Your name appears only in the published results.

How is the rating different from FPL Points?

The rating goes up and down and shows your current level. FPL Points only add up and show your history of participation and achievements.

How do I get into the Super Final?

Take 1st–3rd place in Gold or 1st place in Silver in any Game. Or through the season standings: 2 of 3 Games in Gold, or all 3 Games in Silver or Gold.

Can I be moved to another league in the middle of a Game?

No. Your league is set before the Game starts and doesn't change until it ends.
